New year, new introduction! 🌟 Hey, everyone! As this business starts to take off and  with our followers continuing to grow, I figured I would  introduce the baker behind Sumthin Sweet Cakery. If you are new here, WELCOME and I hope to one day see your name come across my invoice sheet. 🩷 My name is Sara Higgs. I am the Owner/Baker of  Sumthin Sweet Cakery. I started this bakery in  December of 2023, after years and years of wanting to,  but never fully having the time to commit. Everything I bake is made from different sweet items. You want it? It can be done and with lots of love. 🩷 I grew up in The Bahamas 🇧🇸 (that’s where the spelling of the name came from), then in my teenage years moved up here to Alaska. Yes, very different places. My hope is to one day open up a business back home as well.  I bake for many different occasions- birthdays, weddings, family gatherings, baby & bridal showers, holidays, anniversaries, etc., or of course, if you’re just craving something sweet. 😉 I offer a wide variety of treats, including cakes, cookies, decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, pies, banana breads, brownies and more! I also make specialty desserts for each holiday. I am still perfecting on large “fancy” cakes, so continue to work with me as I am only able to make certain ones. 🎂🍰🍪🍩🧁🥧 Aside from baking, I have a full time job that takes up a good amount of my time, so this bakery is definitely my “ME” time. This is one of the places around town that you will find my business card. (Message for location.)
